OUR PRACTICE
Dr Emil Goosen
Dr. Goosen qualified as a general practitioner at the University of Stellenbosch, 2008. He completed his Internship at the Groote Schuur Hospital in 2010, followed by his Community service at the Kraaifontein Community Health Clinic in 2011. During this period he completed the General Surgical Skills and Microsurgical Skills courses at Tygerberg Hospital.
He completed the Ophthalmology residency program in 2015. His training was conducted at the major eye centers in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Dr. Goosen regularly attends Ophthalmology congresses and follows international studies and guidelines to keep up to date with the latest trends in the medical and surgical management of eye conditions.

Dr Goosen is in full time private practice. He works in association with Dr Deon Doubell and Dr Mark Jacoby. The practice is based at the Port Elizabeth Eye and Laser Institute.
