Will it hurt?

Cataract and laser vision correction is a painless procedure. Your eye may feel a bit scratchy for a day or 2 after surgery. 

 

Is the procedure safe?

Cataract surgery and laser vision correction have a long track record of safe and effective treatments. Millions of these procedures are performed safely each year.

 

When can I get back to work?

Usually you can return to work a day or 2 after surgery, depending on your field of work.

 

How long does it take?

Cataract surgery takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Laser correction can take from 5-10 minutes to complete per eye.

 

Am I suitable?

The only way to see is to book an appointment. A comprehensive examination needs to be done in all cases to ensure that you are a good candidate for vision correction.

 

Can I drive after the surgery?

You will need a driver on the day of surgery as you will get sedation. You should be able to drive the following day after the eye patches have been removed.

 

When can I wear makeup?

I usually advise patients to take a week off!
